  • What is Covered: Lifting, bubbling, or peeling caused by installation errors on factory-OEM paint or properly prepped surfaces.
  • What is NOT Covered: Horizontal surface breakdown (hoods, roofs, trunks) past 1 year due to extreme Arizona UV exposure; rock chips, door dings, or collision damage; failure over deep rust, bondo, or aftermarket non-factory paint jobs.
  • Warranty Voided By: Use of automated drive-thru car washes (mechanical brushes); pressure washers used within 12 inches of any vinyl edge; abrasive chemical cleaners or wax containing petroleum distillates.

 2. Interior Wall Murals & Floor Graphics

  • Warranty Period: 1-Year Workmanship Warranty from the date of completion.
  • What is Covered: Premature peeling or edge lifting when installed on standard, properly prepped commercial drywall surfaces.
  • What is NOT Covered: Damage from wall impact, furniture scrapes, or standard building settling; peeling due to underlying water leaks, moisture trapped behind the wall, or installation on modern "scrubbable" zero-VOC paints that reject adhesives (unless specialized high-tack vinyl was explicitly requested).
  • Warranty Voided By: Scrubbing the mural surface with abrasive pads or harsh chemical solvent cleaners.

 3. Window Perforated Film (50/50, 60/40 and 70/30 Acrylic)

  • Warranty Period: 1-Year Maximum Warranty from the date of completion.
  • What is Covered: Cracking, peeling, or total adhesive failure on clean, factory-sealed automotive or commercial glass panes.
  • What is NOT Covered: Gradual color fading on south- or west-facing windows under direct Arizona sun; visual cloudiness caused by hard water buildup from nearby sprinklers.
  • Warranty Voided By: Rolling or sliding down windows covered in perforated film; using rear window wipers or window ice scrapers; using ammonia-based cleaners (like standard Windex) which chemically eat the vinyl adhesive.

 4. Custom Banners & Canvas Prints

  • Warranty Period: Warranted upon delivery and initial customer inspection only.
  • What is Covered: Production defects, incorrect grommet placement, edge hemming failure, or print alignment errors caught before or at the moment of pickup/hand-off.
  • What is NOT Covered: Continuous high-wind damage, wind-whip fraying, or bracket tearing once hung outdoors; normal outdoor fading; water or structural damage to stretched canvas frames kept in non-climate-controlled environments (like uncooled garages).

 5. Rigid Signage (Sandwich Boards, Coroplast Triangle Wraps, Realtor & Golf Tee Signs)

  • Warranty Period: Warranted upon delivery and initial customer inspection only.
  • What is Covered: Material defects, initial lamination bubbles, or incorrect cut sizes verified at pickup.
  • What is NOT Covered: Foot traffic scuffs, wind knock-overs, lawnmower/weed-whacker damage to stakes, or fading from permanent 24/7 outdoor baking.

 6. Custom Embroidery & Branded Apparel (Hats, Shirts)

  • Warranty Period: Warranted upon delivery and initial customer inspection only.
  • What is Covered: Stray or missing stitches, unraveling seams out of the box, or incorrect design digitization elements noticed upon delivery.
  • What is NOT Covered: Shrinkage from hot dryer cycles; standard wear-and-tear; staining; or thread pulling caused by catching the embroidery on velcro, branches, or equipment.

The Scooter Studios LLC Graphics Care Guide

 1. Vehicle Wraps & Fleet Graphics

  • The 2-Week Rule: Do not wash the vehicle for the first 14 days after installation. This allows the pressure-sensitive adhesive to fully cure to your paint.
  • Hand Wash Only: Wash your vehicle by hand using a clean sponge and a wet, mild automotive detergent. Avoid mechanical drive-thru car washes completely, as the rotating brushes can catch and lift vinyl edges.
  • Pressure Washing Caution: Keep pressure washer nozzles at least 12 to 18 inches away from all vinyl edges and seams. Use a wide spray pattern (40-degree tip) and keep the pressure under 2,000 PSI.
  • Wipe Up Spills Immediately: Clean off gasoline, oil, bird droppings, or tree sap immediately. Letting them bake in the sun will permanently stain or eat through the vinyl laminate.
  • Park Smarter: Whenever possible, park in a garage, under a carport, or in shaded areas to shield horizontal surfaces (hood and roof) from the intense heat.

 2. Window Perforated Film (50/50, 60/40 and 70/30)

  • Hands Off the Switches: Do not roll down or slide open windows that have perforated film installed. Friction against the window seals will instantly catch the edges and ruin the print.
  • No Glass Cleaners: Never use ammonia-based window cleaners (like standard blue Windex) or citrus-based solvents. Use a mild, soapy water solution instead.
  • Skip the Wipers & Scrapers: Avoid using rear window wipers, squeegees with hard plastic edges, or ice scrapers on the film surface.
  • Dry Gently: Blot the film dry with a clean, lint-free microfiber towel. Do not rub vigorously across the perforations, as this can force dust and water under the tiny holes.
  • Mind the Sprinklers: Avoid parking where hard water lawn sprinklers regularly hit the windows. Mineral buildup will settle into the perforations and make it look cloudy over time.

 3. Interior Wall Murals & Floor Graphics

  • Dust Lightly: Keep your wall mural clean by dusting it periodically with a soft feather duster or a dry microfiber cloth.
  • Spot Cleaning: For minor smudges, use a damp, soft cloth with warm water. If absolutely necessary, use a tiny drop of mild dish soap, but never use abrasive scrub pads or harsh chemical household cleaners.
  • Floor Graphic Care: For floor graphics, sweep away loose dirt and debris daily to prevent scratches. When mopping the floor, use standard neutral floor cleaners and avoid heavy buffing machines or industrial chemical strippers over the graphic area.

 4. Custom Banners & Canvas Prints

  • Outdoor Banner Takedowns: For outdoor banners, bring them indoors during high-wind alerts or extreme monsoon storms to prevent wind-whip from fraying the edges or ripping the grommets.
  • Roll, Never Fold: When storing vinyl banners, always roll them with the printed side facing out. Never fold a banner, as folding creates permanent creases and cracks the ink.
  • Canvas Placement: Keep custom canvas prints entirely indoors in climate-controlled spaces. Keep them away from high-moisture zones (like bathrooms) and out of direct, unfiltered sunlight to prevent long-term color shifting.

 5. Rigid Signage (Sandwich Boards, Coroplast Wraps, & Tee Signs)

  • Bring Boards Inside: Bring your A-frame sandwich boards indoors at the end of the business day. This keeps them safe from nighttime weather, vandalism, and unnecessary UV exposure.
  • Storage Care: Store rigid signs flat or upright against a smooth surface so they don't bow or warp under weight. Do not stack heavy objects directly on top of printed faces.
  • Cleaning: Wipe down corrugated boards or sandwich board faces with a soft damp cloth. Avoid dragging signs across rough asphalt or concrete during setup.

 6. Custom Embroidery & Branded Apparel

  • Wash Inside Out: Always turn custom embroidered t-shirts and apparel inside out before tossing them in the washing machine. This protects the thread work from catching on other clothes.
  • Cold & Gentle: Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or heavy fabric softeners that can break down thread fibers.
  • Hang Dry Preferred: Air drying your embroidered apparel is best. If you must use a dryer, use a low-heat, tumble-dry setting to prevent the shirt fabric from shrinking and causing the embroidery design to pucker.
  • Ironing Safe: If the embroidery design wrinkles, iron it on the reverse side (inside out) using a low-to-medium heat setting. Never iron directly over the front of the stitching without a protective pressing cloth.
